NC Southern towns
While visiting my son's in North Carolina, I happened to stop at two quaint towns near by that has some nice shops, not to mention the beautiful southern homes! I did happen to pick up a old homemade rocking horse, I had to do some tweeking but in the end it came out pretty well. Now to add it to my collection of wooden horses! I did change the horse a little when I came home!
Some great vintage finds on the weekend! The slipper chair is covered in either a muslim or linen cloth! I love the old black scale great collectors find..now I can stop looking for them, I have 3!!!! I also think my wisk broom collections is complete now, a friend of mine found these old wisk brooms in a barn sale in North Carolina....why when I go visit my sons I never find great stuff in their area!
Yes, I am at it again...found some really great treasures at a sale today, they just needed some TLC! The larger table had some work to be done on the top but all in all it was worth it! I love the way they turned out, they are really sturdy tables and they have such character...just look at the lines on both! A little distressing and they are good to go! I love how old furniture has numbers on each piece!
